I hate hospitals!

I consider myself to be a pretty healthy person...okay, not healthy like run a marathon healthy but healthy as in not spending time in the hospital healthy.
Boy has that changed....I have spent so much time in the hospital in the last year and I am getting pretty sick of hospitals.

So, for the short versions. My sister Jodi has been sick for pretty much her whole life and after lots and lots of testing they determined she has a hole in her heart. The hole in the heart is pretty common and not as scary as it sounds. They say 1/3 of the population has it (Bret Micheals just went in yesterday to get his fixed...pretty common I tell ya)
So, my other sister Lisa went in for an EKG and it came back irregular. So, my Mom and Tim insisted that I go and get checked and sure enough my EKG was irregular. I went to IMC Hospital on Monday and they did an ECHO test and a bunch of other testing and determined I also have the hole. Not too worried about it but was told to come back today for lots of other tests to see if the hole is affecting other organs.....Ugh, like I said "SO SICK OF HOSPITALS!"

First test was an MRI of my brain and wasn't too bad. I would have fallen asleep if the freaking machine didn't sound like a helicopter right in my ear and if the nurse didn't keep coming on the speaker telling me what was going to happen next.

Then I went over to a different building and got a CT Scan. The scan itself wasn't too bad but getting prepared for the test was yucky. They gave me meds to slow my heart down (they needed my heart rate under 60) and then gave me a valume to help it get even slower. I was so tired a fell asleep and within seconds of falling asleep they came in and woke me up. Very rude!
The CT Scan was very quick and I am hoping for good results. I get the test results back sometime next week. Oh and did I mention that I have ANOTHER test at the heart and lung doctor next week. Maybe I will just rent a room at the hospital, it would be alot easier!

I will post my results when I get em'

He's off and running

(Don't mind the food on his pants....clearly I was more worried about getting the pic of him walking than making sure he was clean. GROSS!)

Okay maybe not running but definately off....

He has been taking a couple steps from the couch to the other couch and Me and Tim joked that he would be walking by the end of the week. Nope, more like the end of the day.
We dropped Byrce and Kayse off at my Mom's for a couple hours while Tim took me to a Dr. Appt and when I got back Kayson had learned how to turn around to go down the stairs and I guess WALK.
When we got home he took 5 steps, then 10 steps and then next thing I knew he walked from the kitchen to the computer room to get his Daddy. It really was that quick. He went from 6 or so steps to full on walking in a couple hours. Bryce was walking by his first birthday so I was interested to see if Kayson would be an early walker and sure enough, 15 days before he turned 13 months and he is outta here.....

Can this be happening?

I hate winter birthday's....Our house doesn't fit 23 people and it is to freaking cold to have a party outside (the reason I hate winter birthday's) so we decided to do it at the Mayan.
Thankfully both families came and joined us in celebrating it here and it worked out perfect. I still cannot believe my little guy is 1 years old!

How cute is this cake? My friend Katie told me she did this for her little boy and so I decided it would fun since we didn't have a "party theme" and it was adorable!

Yes, I am making Kayson stick his finger in the cake. For a little guy that LOVES to eat he was sure a little unsure about sticking his hand in this cake.

Just thinking about if he is really enjoying this or not.....

These crazy Mayan people were walking around during the diving show and stopped for some pictures. I love Kayson's face (or back of his head), it shows how confused he really was.

Don't worry, Bryce helped eat the cake while Kayson tried to play with his birthday hat. This was Kayson's own little cake so I let Bryce go to town on it.

I love this fat little squishy guy....he is such a good baby and I will say it again I CAN'T BELIEVE HE IS ONE!!! I want that year back and want it to go a little slower!

I know this is Kayson's birthday post but have to throw in this adorable picture. I love this kid so much (even with all the grief he gives me) and I love that he is game for anything. No fear in this kid.

Christmas Morning

P.J.'s from the Jammy Fairy. We love having Kaylee and Alex over for Xmas!

Kayson got a train table from Santa and he LOVED it!

(Not the cutest picture but it is xmas morning and they just want to play with their stuff??)
One of my favorite things on Christmas morning is the chaos....I love having everyone at my house to open presents. Lisa and her kids stayed over and Grandpa and Grandma came to watch the kids open presents. They got there at 7:00 ( I had set my alarm for 6:45) and I let them in and sure enough, the kids had to be woke up at 8:00.

Freaks

Should I be worried? Yes, I should be very worried!

So, Brad and I have the same taste in clothes and well since I dress Tim these two end up dressing alike alot. Tim showed up wearing this on Christmas and Brad ran home (to pick up Ling) and thought it would be funny to change in to matching outfits. They have quite a few matching outifts. Too Funny!

And yes, I am very worried about these boys!

Breakfast with Santa (and Grandma Jones)

***Out of order pictures but just thankful I got them on the blog***

Breakfast with Santa and Great-Grandma Jones
at Wentworth (Dec. 21st)
This is the second year Grandma's place has done the Breakfast with Santa and we jumped on the chance to go up and visit with Santa and eat Breakfast with Grandma.
This year Cori and Riley were out of school (Braiden was not) So mother of the year let Braiden miss the first couple of classes and come with us. I know, not very responsible but I am tired of Braiden not getting to do all the fun things with us....So I was grateful he came!

Happy Birthday Grandma....yesterday was her birthday so it was fun to come up and see her.

Is this not the saddest face you have ever seen? And yes, again Mother of the year made him sit there like this for photo after photo. He had his own pic, one with me, Braid and Bryce, one with all the grandkids and then one with the grandkids and Great-Grandma Jones. Sorry Kayse!

Isn't he a stud? He is up for anything....What 14 year old gets on Santa's lap and talks his ear off and even poses for pictures and than thanks me for bringing him. He is somethin' special.

Ugh, I am just realizing how horrible these pictures are. Good think I went and spent a fortune on a nice DSLR camera and then still bring my point and shoot every where. Yah, I am special.

Thanks Grandma Jones for letting us and our chaos invade your dining area. (It is so funny to watch her when we are there. She panicks that we are messing it up or doing something that is going to get her in trouble.....she is a crack up!)

Cuting the Fro's

Baby Kayson isn't a baby anymore. Or atleast he no longer looks like one. I cannot believe he will be 1 years old in 4 days. Time flies when you are having fun (or have a cute baby growing up)

This is the best before picture I could get. The poor kid was so confused as to what was going on.

A little annoyed with the haircut lady and again a little confused!

Checking himself out in the mirror. I guess he approves cause he let her continue.

This kid is game for anything. He liked having his hair cut and kept looking over at Braiden across from him getting his hair cut at the same time and would giggle.

Not the cutest "after" picture but by this point he was DONE and wanted Mommy to hold him. He did such a good job and has a mowhawk. He no longer looks like a baby :(

Both of my boys after their MUCH needed haircuts!
(I forgot to get a "before pic of Braiden so I snagged this one below to show how badly he needed one.)
