So Thankful

(love the self timer but next time I will make sure there isn't something sitting in the bottom left hand corner of the picture...grrr)

This Thanksgiving was a good one. We had the whole family together this year and I love that my Mom's house can fit everyone in one room.
One of my favorite traditions is when we go around the dinner table and everyone says what they are thankful for. This year I said I was thankful for my boys health. There is so much illness around me with friends and family that I just am so thankful that my boys (and Tim and myself and the whole rest of my family) are healthy. Braiden said he was thankful for his brother's and my heart melted. I never get tired of hearing how much my boys love each other!

I went in the toy room to check on Kayson and he was laying down covered in his nite nite. I think we wore him out this year....he missed his nap but was still such a good boy.

My amazing Mom that cooked an amazing dinner and had her whole family over to her house. She is such a great hostess! Thanks for having us over Mom!

This year we went to Grandma Butterfield's for Thanksgiving lunch (1:00) and ate way too much. After hanging out for a while and eating pie we headed up to my Mom's (4:00) and did it all over again. I seriously thought my stomach was going to explode but I kept on eating! We left my Mom's around 8:00 so I could race to Wal-Mart to start shopping. Yes, shop. Most of the stores opened at midnight this year (so retarded). I took Braiden with me to help push our way through the crowds and crowds are an understatement. We walked in Wal-mart...did a loop around the store and walked right back out. There was no way in hell I was dealing with that madness to save a few bucks. I would pay double the price to not have to deal with those crazy's!
We decided to head over to Shopko. They didn't open until midnight but the store isn't open so you have to wait outside...BRRR. Braiden and I dressed like we would be waiting INSIDE the store so we were freezing. Braiden decided to wait in the car with the radio on. I called him and told him not to leave it on very long because I didn't want a dead battery. Wouldn't that suck! Thankfully, Tim left his jacket and Grandma B's so Emily had it in her car, otherwise I would have packed up and headed home. We got in and out of Shopko in about 15 minutes getting everything we went for and made it to the car alive. Turn the key and DEAD....yep, dead battery. So, Emily ran to my house and got jumper cables and the two of us got my car jumped. I was home and in bed before 1:00 am. Not too shabby considering....

Funny Bryce

This kid keeps me on my toes. His brain never stops thinking and in turn, mine never stops either trying to keep up with him. I never want to forget all the funny things that he says.

(in the car rockin out to the stereo)
Me: singing "Moves Like Jagger"
Bryce: makes a disgusted noise
Me: What, you don't like my singing?
Bryce: Mom, when you sing the birds all fly out of the trees
Me: ....nothing, I am speechless!
Bryce: (thinking he has hurt my feelings) Mom I saw that on Rio (the movie)

The next day while driving....man, we have some serious conversations in the car.
Bryce: Mom when there are a group of people that is called a joke
Me: No, that is just alot of people
Bryce: Lots of people are called a joke
Me: Bryce what are you talking about? A joke is when someone says something funny or tells a funny story. People laugh and it is a joke.
Bryce: Then how come when you are around alot of people you always say "ugh, this is a joke"
Man, that kids brain never stops trying to figure things out!
