Jeep Hurricane

So Bryce go a new Powerwheels Jeep Hurricane....For what you ask? Yep, his birthday that is not until April 26th. His Daddy had this thing home for 15 minutes and already had it pulled out of the box and put together. Bryce thinks it is cool to try and chase the doggy but he hasn't figured out how to steer it yet so for now we just go around in circles saying "gonna get you puppy".

Just like Daddy, has to try and figure out how everything works.

It is a super cute Jeep. It has a key that turns on and makes a noise like a real car starting up, a working radio that plays real stations, it goes in reverse and Bryce's favorite "goes fast".

Thankful Thursday

I have wanted to take Braiden to do a service project for a very long time in hopes of helping him be a little more grateful for all the things he has (he is grateful but is 13 and I think sometimes like all of us, takes things for granted) So, my MOPS group had set up a dinner to take down to the Road Home homeless shelter for families and men and I jumped on the opportunity to volunteer myself and Braiden to go down and help serve dinner to the families....So, after doing so my list of favorites this week is pretty simple:
1. My house. Having somewhere to go at night and be safe and warm. A place where my kids can have a room to call there own and toys to play with.
2. My bed. Going to bed at night in a quiet room knowing that my kids are tucked in their own beds and bedrooms safe and sound.
3. Food. Having the means to go and get groceries (even on a budget) when we need them and being able to cook and eat a warm meal.
4. Tims job.
Going and volunteering at the homeless shelter sure made me realize how very lucky I am to have what I have and how lucky we are that Tim is still working and able to take care of our family.

Valentine Fun

Right now Bryce is into everything boy. He LOVES cars, trucks, planes, motorcycles and everything else that make noise. So, when I saw the commercial for monster trucks I thought that would be alot of fun to take the boys to. I got online and bought our tickets and then went to put it on my calendar and realized it was on Valentines Day. So, I thought what a great gift to give to the boys and spend it as a family watching the trucks. We showed up early enough for the Pit Party and got flags for the boys to get signed by all the drivers and Bryce just loved running around in the dirt and picking up rocks.

Before the show started we all picked a truck that we thought would win and Braiden picked this truck. He liked how it looked and he liked that the driver signed his flag with a blue marker. And Blue Thunder ended up winning so finally Braiden picks a winner!

Does it get any better than this? Lots of dirt, an icecream and big trucks. A little boys dream.

Our seats were perfect because we were up high enough that you could see everything and we were row 1 so we didn't have anyone in front of us for Bryce to kick. He could stand up and look over the wall.

When we were getting ready to leave we told Bryce we were going to a pit party and I think he really thought it was going to be a PARTY. While we were driving there he kept clapping his hands and saying "goin to a pit party....goin to a pit party" It was so cute!

Hope everyone had a Happy Valentine's Day!!!!

Busy Weekend

We use to take the kids to Home Depot ever first Saturday of the month for the "kids craft" and our kids have since outgrown that and say they are too old to go. Aunt Lisa called and asked if I wanted to start taking Bryce and I jumped on the idea. He is so into this kind of stuff. He was so excited to use a hammer but when we got there the craft they were doing used glue and no hammers...poor Bryce. He had so much fun and made a "trinket box" which he used as a bank thanks to Aunt Lisa supplying Bryce with lots of pennies.

This may look like a double posting but it's not...we had so much fun at the Tracy Aviary that we decided to head back and this time we had all the kids. It is so much fun for the kids to run around after being inside all winter long!
These were are Saturday activites and then on Saturday night me and Tim went to Home Depot and shopped for a new bathtub and faucet (yep, we are doing another home remodeling project) and then ate dinner at Taco Bell (our date nights sure have changed!) Then late Sat. night I got the stomach flu and spent the entire day in bed on Sunday....Yeah me! I HATE being sick.
