South Jordan Parade

Bryce has only been in karate for a couple of weeks when they let us know they were going to be walking in the South Jordan parade. Bryce was so excited. He wanted his Daddy to walk in the parade with him but Tim still wasn't feeling good enough (after having his manhood taken away from him...his words)So, Braiden was a sport and went with him. What a fun thing for these guys to do together.

There were 88 entries in the parade and Bryce's "float" was number 88. They were the very last group to walk by. They threw out candy to Kayson and Bryce was having a ball! Grandma Heath met us there to watch and she walked down to the start of the parade and walked along side the float. She got lots of good photos!

Laughs

This kid makes me laugh so hard. He says the craziest things! I wanted to write them down so I don't forget....

While sitting at the dinner table
Bryce: this makes me look gay (I am really trying to stop saying gay in our house. It just doesn't sound nice)
Me: Bryce we don't say that
Bryce: Oh yah, ok it's salicious (he says it while doing quote fingers)
We all laughed (none of us no what salicious means....
Bryce: that means that it's kind of dumb in English

Driving in the car the other day Bryce rolls down his window and says "ooh, the fresh summer breeze." I just smiled. He says these things all day long. He keeps me smiling!

Memorial Weekend cut short

Our Memorial Weekend was cut a little short. Okay, I guess I can't say it was because of Kayson it was really because of the weather. My little guy is the toughest little boy ever. Kayson headed to the Delta ER around 8:45 pm on Saturday night.

The weather turned windy and yucky outside and since it was so close to bed time Kayson and I headed inside to party in the trailer. We were just hanging out on the bed when Lisa came in. Kayson got a little hyper and started jumping around and playing on the bed. He fell forward and bonked his head on the emergency release latch on the window. He stayed on all fours crying and I grabbed him expecting to see the world's largest goose egg. I flipped him over and his whole face was covered in blood. I calmly (yes, I stayed very calm....I mean it wasn't life threatening) asked Lisa for some paper towels. She freaked out and grabbed a handfull while ripping the rest of the paper towel rack. Right then Tim walked in and I said "I think we are going to have to go get stitches." He freaked out and said "are you kidding me?" While running out the door to get the truck. We drove the 5 minute drive to the ER and I am thinking we are going to be there ALL night. They usually have to call a Dr. in. When we got in to check in I asked if there was someone there that could do stitches and she said yes that the dr. was already in. YAY!
They got us right back and the dr. said he doesn't normally do stitches on the face on such little guys but he felt like he needed them. We laid Kayson down and Tim held his face and Kayson was so brave. Tim said that he didn't even have to hold his face that he was doing it to close his eyes so he wouldn't watch. Kayson was not even crying, more like just little wimpers. When he was done the dr. was looking to see how he did and Kayson kept turning his head. The dr. said "can I see your stitches?" and Kayson turned his head and said "no".
We were done and back to the property in 45 minutes....the quickest ER visit I have ever seen. I walked Kayson in and put him to bed and he was laying there when all of a sudden he started rubbing his eyes. I freaked out and tried to get him to stop and I realized he was pulling his eyelashes. I think the numbing was wearing off and he didn't know what was happening. So sad! I grabbed his arms and held him tight and he whined himself to sleep. He seriously is such a good baby!

We ended with 2 stitches and a very happy baby! Nothing keeps this little guys down.
